STEM Educator - Lead Coding & Robotics Teacher
Marin and San Francisco

  • In-Person teaching only

  • Part-time, contractor

  • Pay $25 to $35 per hour

Are you an awesome individual who has experience teaching STEM to kids? Are you creative, intellectually curious and organized? Would you want to help develop an exciting program of classes for children learning to code, program robots and get hands-on building with design engineering challenges? If yes, we would like to hear your ideas.

STEM education company TinkerTech has exciting opportunities for a Lead Teacher to work with students ages 5-14 in Marin County and San Francisco. In this role of Lead Teacher, you will work with the management team to bring excellent teaching using the latest edtech tools to our current students. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a key role in developing curriculum for year-round classes and training our summer camp teaching team.

TinkerTech is a STEM education company teaching coding, robotics, and design and engineering concepts to young students in after-school classes, camps and through professional development in schools. Since 2014, we have inspired and coached thousands of children in our Marin County classes and camps to code games, program robots and build prototypes of their own amazing inventions.

Please know our instructors are required to be on site at schools across Marin County and San Francisco.

    • Have experience and enjoy working with kids and inspiring them to dream big

    • Have a college degree in a STEM subject or experience working in a STEM field

    • Be available weekdays for in-person teaching

    • Have a reliable vehicle to transport teaching materials and commute to teaching sites in Marin County and/or San Francisco

    • Complete a pre-employment background check, provide proof of vaccination for Covid19, attend training sessionsDescription text goes here

    • Be passionate about helping kids explore coding, robotics and STEM maker projects

    • Love working with and mentoring kids - we need people with empathy who can be high energy and engaging but patient when needed

    • Be a natural problem solver/tinkerer
