Part-time Maker Educator
Larkspur, Marin County

  • Part-time, contractor

  • Pay $25 to $35 per hour depending on experience

TinkerTech is seeking an experienced coding/robotics/maker educator to run a program through May 2026 at a small school in Larkspur, Marin County.

It's 5 teaching hours a week to K-5 students spread over two days between 10:15 and 2:45pm, Mondays and Wednesdays.

This independent contractor position is to cover for an existing teacher on leave and has a flexible start date of November/December 2025 or January 2026.

All tools and materials are provided in a dedicated space. 

    • Have experience and enjoy working with kids and inspiring them to dream big

    • Have a college degree in a STEM subject or experience working in a STEM field

    • Be available weekdays for in-person teaching

    • Have a reliable vehicle to transport teaching materials and commute to teaching sites in Marin County and/or San Francisco

    • Complete a pre-employment background check, provide proof of vaccination for Covid19, attend training sessionsDescription text goes here

    • Be passionate about helping kids explore coding, robotics and STEM maker projects

    • Love working with and mentoring kids - we need people with empathy who can be high energy and engaging but patient when needed

    • Be a natural problem solver/tinkerer
